Update, 12:15pm---ran down to MU to grab popcorn---of which there is none---and discovered the bookstores end of quarter book sale. And found on the $4.98 table "Teach Yourself Gulf Arabic"--yes, just the book, not the book/CD package. Can try to find the CD used elsewhere. At least this covers reading/writing.

Also found two Buff-Slayers graphic novels, two books on weaving, and one on development of women in the field of mathematics since WWII, for those of you interested in browsing. Not as much on cookery this quarter. Much on women's literature. Fun stuff on the kids' table.

Update of the update, 5:30pm. Book apparently not good for learning to write, per Amazon review--another reviewer explained that there is spoken Arabic, and all it's dialects---and the formal Arabic, used in diplomatic, business and written communications. This book covers spoken dialect of the Gulf region. Ah well. $5.00. Poop. Will see if this can augment my audible book.

Per my post of 12 March, what would you study?

I need to do Spanish. Am going back to "quick and easy Pimsleur" as that got me functional in French. Then I will try to redo the current Spanish audio chapters I'm trying to work out in listening, and writing/reading. (It's a good detailed study, but the audio does not do enough repetition, not as much as Pimsleur's did).

Would like the full Pimsleur Spanish, but it is $147.00 through my audio club, unless I can save up 6 credits over 6 months. Think it would be better to take conversational Spanish through Davis Adult Ed in the fall.
