No whine. Just tantrum

Allow me one tantrum.
Wearing same old garbage again.
Sewing machine ate them of the new skirt.
Have spent last hour sewing for 5-10 minutes....then fabric feeds funny (that's probably my stupid hands)
bias tape is shifted off the fabric, then on.

Spend one minute ripping out stitches to back up.
Now eats eating thread and fabric. then stops. Pull out tangle of threads from machine.

Occasionally stop to pull out jammed bobbin thread.

I hate this machine. I hate my hands. Hate the old skirts. I really do. I wanted to use this new fabric and skirts. Fuck.

slammed my hand on the top of the machine. Ow. Ice pack and headache still.
And I'm not happy with the regular weekend headaches either.

it's probably not you _or_ your hands. ESPECially your hands.

Do you know how to check for bobbin tension? it might be thread's too tight on either needle or bobbin. Get some fabric you don't care much about and run some test stitches.

I'm no expert, but gods know I have done enough machine sewing and ripped out enough seams when the fabric + the thread tension =! good results.

Sorry you're sewing is frustrating you, sweetie. I've had days like that too, so I definitely empathize. Wish I could be there to help you figure out what's going on with your machine. It might be time to take it in for maintenance. I think it costs about $50 or less to have a thorough cleaning, lubrication and checkup done at any ol' "sewing & vac" shop.
