It should be of note that people who do not like puddings or custards--or especially tapioca--are committing the 8th deadly sin of Disliking Tapioca and Other Sweet Gooey Goodness.

It's the sin no one talks about because it's too long, and you can't make a decent LJ meme or icon with it.

And a bit of custardy knowledge from Stephen Fry and the boys. Apologies for the stupid commercial at the start--blame the BBC.

a copy of my post to Facebook this morning:

[Temperance Davis] realized she REALLY needs to buy freezer labels. And maybe gloves. And maybe a bullwhip: Temperance Davis and the Temple of the Deep Freezer and Holy Squat is that the Salmon Carcass for Stock and Oh God When Did I Cook That?

Today, stayed indoors and
thawed out several containers of stock and veggies.
Cooked more barley and have made thick fish stock casserole [Will add more stock or fish boullion and make...well, that will be revealed on Sunday].
Adapted a bread recipe for the machine and made a nice BIG 2lb loaf of hopefully French. Have not cut into it yet.

Picked out skirt and stocking for possibly DF visit tomorrow, pending Snuffy's back. We may visit; we may only visit a short time. Will see. Forgot to try on sweaters and blouses.

Bought books for school.
Contacted friends.
Researched netbook prices and features. In the home stretch.
Researched recipes.

READ.
Cleared out old clothes.
Listened to the radio.

Still haven't written enough. May read instead.
Still didn't feel productive enough.

Update 8:15pm: Tried on the blouses and sweaters. Have one nice blouse in a wonderful ruby tone--but not the most flattering. And yes it fits, yes I tried it on--it's just that it's a blouse, with darts and button front, and my body has never fit blouses well, no matter what size I am. At least the buttons don't gap. But I look like I've got BOOBs under there. Think I'll try this on with the sports bra, and see how they look. Otherwise dark red ribbed thin sweater, or forest green raglan t-shirt with decorative yoke.

(Oh yes---and blouses ALWAYS creep up, and must be retucked retucked retucked, no matter what waistline is on the skirt. Grrr. WHY is this garment regarded as a sign of professionalism? It's like long fingernails--how the hell does something so contrary to useful daily work get linked to the executive ideal?!)
