And somedays (argh she sez)

It goes beyond "Evie touched my chickens"

Somedays it's just about her whole Umbridgitudity.

I'm so sorry love. I hope it gets better soon.

Not tragic just asinine. I'm probably martyring myself--just one of those "how the hell does she get away with that crap" days when the rest of us are busting our asses.

*snickers*

Sorry. I'm sure there's a story behind that, but daaaaang, I've got some wonderful mental images running amuck in my brain right now.....

And this is NOT an evil ex-girlfriend post. Just so that's clear.

These are the heroines of this tragic story.

Folsom Ren Faire celebrated its 15th Anniversary last fall. The chicken was a party favour given to the girl in possession of it. Somewhere on the web is a video of Chicken Posessor complaining vehemently about a gross violation of personal space, to wit: "Evie touched my chicken!" These things matter when one is 26 months old, even if the space violator is only 15 months.

Personal space and property rights, that is. Would you want to be forced to share your New Special Toy less than a day later?

I just spent 5 minutes at my desk cooing over pics of the babbies at SF Faire.

Whose lad was it holding up Kitten to look over the fence? (see Chris's link to Faires, SF Golden Gate 2007).

And you do know, [livejournal.com profile] masterfiddler refuses to let "Evie touched my chicken" be uttered in front of Kitten. The girl has a good memory!

The young lad in white tunic, blue pants, and his father's maroon/grey hat is First Kevin, Jay and Kim's kidlet.

Oh, and I hate to be pedantic on an emotional post like this.

But I believe the correct way to spell that word is "umbridgiturdity."

Naturally, this is because it is a cross between "umbridge" and "absurdity" and not because anyone posting here engages in scatalogical humor. "Umbridgitudity" is, by logical extension, a cross between "umbridge" and "nudity" and therefore (one hopes) quite inappropriate to the point you were trying to make.

Oh!

It occurs to me that the word you may have been looking for was "umbridgidity" -- a cross between "Umbridge" and "rigidity."

I had initially discounted that possibility as being redundant, but I suppose an argument can be made for gradation of emphasis.

Umbridge and attitude. Umbridgitude. And I just like the sound of Umbridgitudity.

Umbridge and nudity just made my tea curdle.

There's also Umbridgitudeness.

tea curdle

...is why nobody has both lemon and milk together in their tea.
