Anglo-Saxon:
(In response to my day “starting out”)

My day is daintily dead, contrarily;
Your prompt applies imperfectly, sadly.
While your day yawns in yellow, all awake,
Mine sleeps so soundly and sighs--midnight.

I will be willing to rewrite this, therefore,
When alluring illumination lights: tomorrow.

Iambic Pentameter
(doesn’t scan perfectly, but I like it the way it is)

Today was gladly slow with waking up.
Adventures in my kitchen, my tea stained cup,
The soothing smell and warmth of breakfast tea
That curbs the outside cold to some degree.
I broke my fast with giggles and a friend,
And toast with cheese, which sadly had to end.

Seryu:
(I just counted syllables, since sounds is too short)

brain slept that morning
while the eyes dilated.
coffee complicates.

Blue mug, brown stained spoon,
Sugar shifts and soymilk streams.
Normal morning tea.

I had fun, thanks for the excuse! : ) Keep doing this! WOO! Where's yours?

In the process of poking around for a rhyming dictionary, I found one that, though functional, had some of the most halarious weird matches for the simplest of things. I started putting in all my words just to see what it came up with.
For example:
"up" was listed as rhyming with "charred pancake cup"
"tea" was listed as rhyming with "american angelica tree"

How thats actually useful I have no idea, but it certainly was cause for amusement.

Love and hugs from far away,
