Not able to acoomplish all I wanted, but I did allow myself slow and curl up time. That included finishing Nightwatch, and trying to finish other partial books on progress.

I also wanted time to watch some difficult videos on youtube. They aren't complex, or grisly. But depressing topic.

Fortunately, depressing topic presented with a mix of light and dark humor. Terry Pratchett discussing his Alzheimer's. One is the wonderful impassioned yet snarky speech given when he contributed a million dollars to The Alzheimer's Research Trust {"It's ok to laugh...I'm supposed to be a funny man"). The other is a 10 minute piece, divided into four 2-3 minutes bits, for the Alzheimer's Society. Quieter, with mild humor, but an deeper explanation of how his variant affects his life and mind.

It's a good and rare time to catch someone's astute observations at this point.

Segment 1 of the Alzheimer's donation speech, 5 minutes. 10 minutes for part 2:

Segment 1 of "Out of the Shadows". Each segment 2-3 minutes, four segments.

I do recommend this. Flag them for a time when you feel comfortable to watch.

Feeling good enough to go into work this morning.

Ran an errand after work, then home.

Now I'm bushed and snuffly again.

Mr. Snuffy would like to do Dickens tomorrow.
I'm not so sure. Will see what shape I'm in Sat morn.

Stayed home all day yesterday.

Woke up about 1am on Wed to the Shivers. (A more accurate description would be the Shakes, but I wasn't drunk). Could barely stand up to go to the bathroom---that's the sign of high fevers for me. Took 20 minutes under a an electric blanket on hight to warm up enough to fall back asleep.

Called the office in the morning, then slept in 2 and 4 hour increments, waking up to pee, then fall back onto the bed. Still unsteady on my feet. Finally "got up" around 5pm, looked at email, play with a meme. Back to bed. Had soup and juice for breakfast around 8pm.

No fever now, but coughing and all my muscles are stiff. Called the office again; will see if I can go in this afternoon. Tomorrow is the last day our office is going to be open until the New Year---I have sponsorships to post.

Think I'll go back to bed again.

Thank you to friends who excused me from fun social dates so that I might get some sleep.

Happy to report I got home, went face first into the pillow, and napped for about an hour and a half. Got up, wrote, then back to bed. Got almost 8 hours total.

Yeaaaahhhh.

Just want to assure that. But I might have a request.

My lower back has been in pain for over a week, and now my shoulders have decided to join them. I mean bad tight knot pain.

I'm going to do some yoga. I'm going to soak in a tub. I'm going to rub on some aspercreme or arthritis hot. I'm going to have a drink.

No, I'm going to have the drink first, then yoga, then hot water.

Tomorrow, either during (if there is room, time, or hands free) the stitch n bitch or after, I would REALLY farking appreciate any attempt at working my shoulders.

[livejournal.com profile] labelleizzy brought up a good idea: exercise date. We need one for the Davis area. I know [livejournal.com profile] barelyproper and [livejournal.com profile] kay_gmd attempted such, but RL time got in the way.

So, do we want to see about occasional get togethers to run, or walk, or do yoga.
