Was going to post this at facebook, and realized...nobody's there. Well, [livejournal.com profile] lyahdan is not there. Not many people who have CSA boxes are logged in at the minute. And the problem with FB is if people are not reading write then, then will not find your older posts.

ANYWAY....The Kitchen Window

Barnabas despises the ephemerality of the FB medium. I am trying to make a habit of actively logging out of FB when I am not immediately using it, because leaving websites logged in all the time was something that we were not supposed to do in the mid-90s, and now cookies are stronger and keylog activity and platform apps (turn those *off*) exist and that seems risky to me.

Thanks for sharing the article. Compared to the June-Nov season of Eastern CSAs, it seems bizarre that in CA we only ever miss two weeks of crops.

Actually, logging off FB is VERY smart. No argument there.

No, it's just that you can post something in the morning, and by the time everyone actually logs on, they get posts from all their friends, and all the morning posts get pushed to the back. Me, I'll scroll back to see what was posted since I was last logged in--but I have less than 100 FB Friends, so it doesn't take that long. For most people, that's a lot more effort.

And as noted: Lyahdan doesn't do FB.

And yes, the recipes are good for the 'yes, you've got to eat ALL your veggies why didn't you expect roots and greens?' reaction.
