I know I've done this before: but how does one screen comments to allow for anonymous posts.

I looked at this FAQ, but I seem to recall there was more to it than this.

Not sure what you mean by that. You mean set it up so that anonymous comments can be made? Or can't be made? Or can be made, but log IP?

To allow people to make anonymous comments, AND so that I cannot see who made the comments as well.

Dave's right- it's a drop-down menu that screens all comments.

There's no way to force comments to be anonymous. The best you can do is enable anonymous comments and then ask people to post anonymously.

I think you mean to have your post readable, but comments are screened (not viewable by the general readership, but only between you and the commenter, who is not "anonymous" but known to you).

Case in point: Post - "Hey, Everybody! Tell me your phone number and address."
You wouldn't necessarily want the general public to be able to read the comments as they came in.

If I have your general take on the situation, then there is a Comment Screening drop-down menu at the bottom of where you draft your posts. It's near the bottom on the right-hand side, in the general area where the Preview, Tags, Location, and so on are located.

Does that help?

As noted above, to allow people to make comments that cannot be seen by others, and so that I cannot see who posted the comments.

OK, that is different from my understanding. I have not done that sort of thing in my journal, and don't know how to do that. Sorry.

Dropdown menus:
"comment screening: anonymous only or all posts"

then in the privacy tab, allow comments from "everybody"

and in your post, request that all posters post anonymously.
